New York Workshop, December 5th 2021

One-day conference on Haydn opus 50#5

We are delighted to announce that we will be resuming our biannual workshops at the Greenwich House in New York City. Each one-day seminar centers on a single string quartet, and our program for December 5, 2021 will feature Haydn’s Quartet in F Major, opus 50#5, nicknamed “The Dream” for its sublime slow movement.

Proof of vaccination will be required, as will wearing of masks when not eating or drinking. Lunch will take place in the roomier upstairs recital hall.

The Workshop will include:

  • One-on-one coaching in quartet format
  • Catered lunch
  • Talk by Dr. David Clampitt musicologist at Ohio State University on historical and theoretical
    aspects of the work
  • Performance of the work by the MSQ
